Brand and communications strategy for organizations creating change.

Elizabeth Bunney Communications

We are all translators.

Some translate languages.

Some translate ideas.

Some translate culture.

I come from a family of translators.

Today, I continue that work in a different way. I translate purpose into brands, relationships into trust and stories into meaningful change. I translate between systems.

I’m a cultural translator, a strategic advisor and a storyteller.

I help organizations translate who they are into brands, stories and communications that build trust with the people they serve.

That means helping:

  • Leaders find the language for difficult conversations.

  • Indigenous organizations communicate their vision without compromising who they are.

  • Governments and businesses engage with Indigenous communities with greater respect, clarity and accountability.

Communication isn't only about what you say.

It's about whether people feel seen when they hear it.

Every engagement begins with translation.

Not only between languages (we do that too) but between:

  • Vision and action

  • Purpose and perception

  • Leadership and community

  • Policy and people

  • Indigenous ways of knowing and being and Western institutions

  • Complexity and clarity

Stories have always been how Indigenous Peoples carried knowledge from one generation to the next.

My family helped translate between Indigenous Peoples and the Crown during the signing of Treaty 5.

Today, I continue that tradition in my own way—helping organizations translate purpose into action, values into communication and relationships into lasting trust.

That's the work I feel called to do.
